Introducing New Staff!

We are excited to introduce two new employees, both of whom are fluent in Spanish, that have recently joined our team:

Clareth M. (Medical Assistant) and Rosy V. (Certified Medical Assistant).

Clareth has been an MA for about 3 years, just received her EMT license this summer, and is currently attending paramedic school. Her background also includes medical interpreting, as well as being a hospital advocate for survivors of sexual violence. "I'm really excited to get to know our patients better and take the best care of them I can. I loved connecting with them as an interpreter while I volunteered at the clinic, so I'm really looking forward to connecting with them on a deeper level."

Rosy has been a Certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist for 20 years. "What excites me most about working for CGM is the first day I stepped foot in the facility, I felt a sense of peace. Just like Philippians 4:7, which states, 'And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your heart and minds through Christ Jesus.' I’m happy to be part of this community and will be honored to serve you."

Volunteer Spotlight:

Erin R.

Erin has been been volunteering at Common Good Medical for the past two years as a Patient Advocate and has already logged over 121 hours!

"I first learned of the clinic through my dear friend CJ Rice, who is the youth leader at my church and also a clinic volunteer. I had just made the difficult decision to retire from teaching after 20 years in the

classroom and was unsure of my next step. CJ thought I would enjoy volunteering at the clinic and assured me all I needed was to love God and to love people, two skills I was sure I could share with others. After learning more about it, I was attracted by the unique opportunity to share God's love with others in need. I’d personally never been to a clinic where prayer was offered after an appointment, and I wanted to be part of something so special. What I have come to love most about volunteering at Common Good Medical is that the clinic provides more than just medical care, instead looking at the entire set of physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. It is an honor to be a part of such an amazing community, and I look forward to seeing God's plan for the clinic in the future."
