Hello CommonGood Medical Family,
Happy July! We are coming up on our 7th birthday of providing free medical care and behavioral health services to our underserved neighbors. Thank you for being a vital part of this story of how God is impacting our community.
As part of our celebration, we are excited about our upcoming signature event, Hope Rising. This year we have lined up a world class entertainer, great food, and a fantastic venue to host what we expect to be a wonderful evening with our supporters, staff, volunteers, and community partners.
We hope that you will be able to join us as we still have seats available. Your support of this event, our largest of the year, is crucial to our fundraising success. Not only does your ticket purchase go directly toward supporting patient care services and programming, but as a community, we take great joy and encouragement in seeing your face every year. That being said, we know many of you are traveling over the summer break, so our staff has put together several wonderful prizes that you could win via our raffle, even if you cannot attend the event.
Speaking of finances and donations, I want to give you an update. Through your generous support and the wise stewardship of our past leaders, we had a strong financial base coming into this year. Many people and organizations have given this year, including notably, a few individuals who have stepped up with exceedingly generous support. As a result, we have enough funds in our accounts currently to continue the work that God has given us. That is the good news.
The downside is general donations have been somewhat down trending. We also have not been awarded several large grant funds we had expected to receive. Thankfully, God has provided for us thus far; but if this trend continues, we might need to curb some of the expansion projects we had planned to launch this fall.
The way we can avoid this issue is through your financial support. Specifically, I would ask those of you who are willing and able, to commit to giving monthly and become a Hope Hero. Increasing our monthly support will provide the stability and diversity of our support base necessary to allow us to continue to offer high-quality services and expand to reach more uninsured people with access to healthcare and the love of Jesus. That is why I pray many of you will respond to this message and decide to make a commitment.
We serve a God who has infinite power and all of the resources in the universe. Yet, he asks us to pray and to give. I think the reason lies much more in what it does for us than in what it does for Him. In that vein, I invite you to be a part of something exciting and meaningful at CommonGood Medical. We are honored by the opportunity to pray, to give, and to serve our community with you. Thank you.
God bless you.
